Honey Bear
In lesson we chose on one film treatment from a selection, and the one we went ahead with was Shaunaghs idea which was for a film called Honey Bear. It tells the story of a 17 year old girl who meets a gangster boy who pulls the girl into a world of drugs and prostitution, ultimately she is killed by a client and the entire story is told in flashbacks. This film draws inspiration from British Dramas such as 'This is England' and 'Kidulthood' which have similar stories involving youth issues. The filming locations would need to be a run-down area of a town and also a darker area such as the one at Poles Lane, but also a cemetery would be needed as that is part of the opening sequence. In terms of soundtrack, music that appeals to a young teenage audience would be necessary.
