Peer assessment of first cut Foundation Production

We have managed to show the rest of the class mine and Jared's version of the first cut of the opening sequence for the film Honey Bear, and it appears as if we have stumbled across some issues that we must take into account for the next cut.
We have been suggested to change the font used throughout the film so that it appears more original, and we have encountered a problem with the part where we see a photo of Shaunagh; it blurs when the camera zooms in which means that we will all have to sort this out as a team.
Also the pace of the film in general was slow, meaning we will need to cut out certain parts in order to speed things up, and also we need to get the timing of the song used correct as well.

The first editing process

We have been split into smaller groups, each one doing a different editing cut for our opening sequence of Honey Bear. I am working with Jared with this, and it is currently coming along rather well. We however still need to add the music into our cut before it is completed, something we have experienced problems with as we cannot tone it down to hear the voice-over by Poppy, the main character of the opening sequence.

My Job Role and Stylistic ideas

When everyone decided what they would be doing for filming, I was unfortunate enough to get a relatively minor job, my role was merely acting a small part as the murderer but I also was unit photographer, this meant that I needed to take photographic evidence of everyone filming and participating in the making of the film. Ideas I took on board for my part was to wear a large black coat with a hood on, this makes my character seem more like a villain and more powerful which suits my part very well, this was inspired by traditional villainous characters who wear something to conceal themselves such as Jason from Friday the 13th.

Photographic Evidence of filming

These photographs were taken during the filming process at Shaunagh's and Nicola's houses, the first 7 are at Shaunagh's house and the last 10 are at Nicola's house. As shown in the images, there was a lot of prop setting and make-up occurring and less time setting up camera and actually filming!
